I was disappointed by this course especially after reading the previous reviews. To me it was uninteresting with not many challenging holes, too many greens were open from the front. The only difficulty was a few long par fours. We played the day before a classic and the greens were in a state with numerous unrepaired pitch marks, fairways were also heavily sanded which made ball striking more difficult than it should be. We were told food would be served till at least 8 but when we got to the bar at 7.25 they said food was finished! Would not be rushing back.
Challenging mature parkland course 100 years on the go. A modern well presented clubhouse with lots of character where I was made feel very welcome. Exceptional value for money considering all of the facilities provided. Located in the sunny south-east so the locals say but we did get some rain during our stay otherwise an enjoyable experience.
course, staff and food were great! what more could you ask for? Weather! They can’t help you with that! But everything else top notch!
Improved immensely since my last visit when I gave it a poor review. Much impressed with the attitude, efficiency and service. Will come back with friends.
I am a Wexford memeber and play here quite often. Worth a trip
Well I played here last week. Obviously with our crap weather it was soft, very soft. Some good features however and will definately return again one day!
Yea, being inland its a soft course. Best waiting for a few months to play here. Played it before and a few very nice holes
Nice course, I like it. Also heard that GUI members get cheap car insurance apparently. Has anyone heard of this? I thinks it’s with a company called http://www.chill.ie
