Enniscorthy Golf Club is located 2 miles from Enniscorthy post office and just off the main New Ross Road. It was founded in 1907 and was extended to 18 holes in 1990. The fairways are generous and the course has many beautiful old trees which will give the golfer that extra degree of difficulty. The course affords magnificent views of Wexford’s rolling countryside and the Blackstairs mountains. A very beautiful and testing 18 holes, it has been described by course architect, the late Eddie Hackett as “a joy for the average golfer and a test for the expert”. Progress and expansion have been the hallmarks of Enniscorthy Golf Club while retaining its country charm. The spacious modern clubhouse offers a full range of facilities and a warm welcome awaits all visitors.Winter Specials: 1) Ladies or Gents Open Fourball Qualifier at Enniscorthy Golf Club every Wednesday commences the 7th October until the 24th February 2010 (excluding Christmas Week). Weekly prizes for 1st, 2nd and visitor. Grand final on the 3rd March 2010 with 1st prize of 2 rounds of golf, 1 night B&B with evening meal in the K Club plus other numerous prizes. Forming part of the 300 acre estate, the land has been transformed into an 18-hole layout of stunning quality, both from a visual and playing perspective. The unique style of the Slieve Russell golf course is sensitively wrapped around the drumlins of the County Cavan landscape while incorporating 50 acres of lakes in the design! As a venue for the Smurfit Irish PGA Championship in 1996 and the European Tour’s North West of Ireland Open in 2000 and 2001, this golf course is recognised as one of the top golfing venues in Ireland. Christ O’Connor Senior wrote ‘One of my criteria in judging a golf course is that you get pleasure from it each time you play. I have played the Slieve Russell many times and each time I can’t wait to get back. I can honestly say there are no weak holes on it and off the back stakes there are four or five that will test the best’. The greens have been rated by some as the most impressive element of the design, where devilishly tricky putting surfaces present a searching examination of accurate aproach play. COUNTY CAVAN GOLF CLUB

County Cavan Golf Club was founded in 1894 and affiliated to the GUI five years later. It is situated in the heart of the lakeland district of County Cavan, which is a mecca for fishing enthusiasts. As well as the variety of mature trees which frame this attractive parkland layout, the club is famous for its’ many rhododendron bushes, dotted throughout the course. While pleasing to the eye, the foliage provides some tricky hazards for the hapless golfer. The 180 metre tenth is a favourite for many of the club members. This testing par 3 offers a challenging tee shot from in front of the clubhouse to an undulating green under the shadow of an ancient chestnut tree. The clubhouse itself provides a pleasant environment in which to relax after a game.
